Council Inaugurations 2019

It's that time of the council term when it's out with the old and in with the new council. The local body elections have been wrapped up for a few weeks now, and this week our teams around the country have continued to deliver a great service to our long-term council clients during their inauguration meetings.

The Christchurch City Council meeting was held on Thursday 24th October at the Christchurch Town Hall. Our three camera setup delivered a clean and dynamic looking stream, keeping the style very similar to our regular council livestreaming setup in the council chambers. The stream included speeches by all councillors, the Mayor and the Chief Executive for the next term, as well as a Mihi welcoming the new councillors to their positions.

The Auckland Council inauguration was held on the 1st November at the Auckland Town Hall. Although much the same style as Christchurch's inauguration, the streaming setup for this was slightly different as the event managers wanted to include several Waiata's and the National Anthem in the programme. Again, the event included speeches by all councillors, including the recently re-elected Mayor Phil Goff.

Both streams can be found on each council's YouTube channels, as well as below in this blog.
